Joe Rott March 8, 2014 @ 2:03 pm err okay this guy is apparently not an experienced technician. Never use a tooth brush!!! don’t do this ever. a tooth brush is made of nylon or some form of synthetic polymer. synthetic polymer plus ferrous metal equals static discharge. This would easily result in destruction of the very sensitive ICs that are mounted to the circuit board. There are special brushes made for performing such operations that contain copper or brass mono filaments in the bristles. This reduces the possibility of static discharge. Yes the guy used alcohol which prevented the build up of static energy. Because static energy can only build in dry conditions. Got IT. But why risk it. Use the proper tools. short cuts result in more cost, always. GardianAngel16 June 12, 2014 @ 3:10 pm Would have been helpful to show if it didn’t work before and if it DID work after. Terry Hale October 24, 2014 @ 3:06 am That toothbrush kinda freaks me out. Did the phone work after you cleaned it?
