Tthen air dry completely with warm flowing air . Then reassemble and try it out. It is a likely fix 7 you only shot , other than an Apple tech, . A no residue electronic solvent may or may not work better. The problem is the solvent may compromise certain plastics & synthetic insulation and such. You can replace those things manually! It is not that hard and there are an excessive amount of videos on YouTube that you can learn from.
