Good News about the Camera, the rice trick was not one I was aware of
June 23, 2010 @ 3:09 pm
Rice? Odd way to do it (never heard of it) but at least it works now. No
signs of defects as far as I can tell either. Good thing it works now!

I thought more people knew of the rice trick…? As for the issues you
experienced, the batteries is always a good way to start! XD As for the
rest of it, how long did you soak it in water? And how long did you leave
it in rice? Cause ya wanna give it plenty of time… I know I did this with
a USB drive once, and a few GameBoy cartridges.

@guard13007 The camera got dropped in the water about half way up for over
23 hours, then we put it in the baggie with the battery compartment open
for over one day. I hear you should leave it as long as you can. DON’T turn
it on before you put it the bag, if there is moisture it will fry it.

@rickmoyer777 Lol, yeah, never turn on something if it’s wet. How did it
stay in water for 23 hours without someone noticing?

@davenewcreator try it! It might work!

about 10 months ago in april, I went on a retreat and I dropped my digital
Kodak in the lake. I tried to let it dry out and hoped that it would still
work. right now, 10 months later, if I put charged batteries in, and turn
it on, it will come on for about 5 seconds, then shut off again. if I put
it in a bag of HD rice, do you think my camera will work again?

can you fix a cyborg sony camera with this way or not, lol, i dont know
why, but i think you’re scamming us , sry btw is there any other solution
for fixing cameras on water?
March 1, 2011 @ 3:51 pm
@electromagnetshit now why in the world would I try to scam you? I don’t
make anything if it works or doesn’t! The best thing you can do is try.
Make sure and keep it in the rice for over 24 hours in a warm place. If it
doesn’t work then it doesn’t work. I hope you can get it working again.
July 16, 2011 @ 5:34 am
It was in for around 28 hours. It is still working today.

out within a few secs and took the batery and memory out and its now in

June 2, 2012 @ 9:30 pm
Yeah, just make sure you let it sit in a warm dry place for at least 24
hours. Don’t turn it on before that. I hope it works for you!
