Prof. K. Ramasubramanian of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, has developed innovative and simple technologies to generate alternate construction material reusing construction rubble. The technology involves generation of alternate and low cost building materials such as hollow blocks, bricks, paver blocks, and rectangular slabs. The technology puts to use the rubble generated during demolition of buildings, thereby reducing the cost of transportation by converting them to construction materials. The video demonstrates some of the technologies developed.
